Here is an aquatic plant : Utricularia gibba
This plant grow in little ponds or in canals on the roadside, but only in calm waters :
There are few flowers on the same inflorescence. 2 or 3 flowers at same time seem to be a maximum.
The aspect of the flowers is very variable - it depend of the biotope - but the plant is easy to identify
U.gibba grow on the side of the pond or of the hole in wich it choosed to live.
Sometimes, if the water level is lowering, some plant parts may grow terrestrial,
but the substrate must be muddy in this case.
You'll never find this little plant floating free in the middle of the waters...always on the sides.
If the water level is low, few flowers are produced.
If the water level is higher, fllowers can be produced by dozen :
Utricularia gibba's biotopes are pretty...variable
